This is piece of highway Roman relics, discovered in the foundations of the theater, Chester, England.
Archaeologists were excavating and examining the remains of the Roman road relics found in the foundations of the theater being built in the city of Chester, England.
The remains of two streets, which was built when the Romans controlled most of mainland UK around 43 to 410 AD, made of stone, sand and gravel.
According to the researchers, the piece was the site of ancient roads parallel to the modern road passing over it, the Northgate Street, Chester.
They found that when the historic site to dig the Odeon cinema building in Hunter Street, which will be converted into the theater and the city library.
The same pattern At the same location, the archaeologists also found pottery shards relic believed to be in the Roman and medieval times, according to Chester City Council and Cheshire West.
The historian Mike Morris, who once led the research project, said the site remains of Roman civilization heritage is located north of the ruins of the Roman fort found in Chester.
